The first hour is primarily devoted to using and understanding the Commitment of Traders Reports. The COT has proven time and again to be the most reliable indicator for price action in the precious metals. Mr. Morgan goes through the basics of how to read the report to the fine details of when to be cautious, what to look for at the top and bottom and why this tool can be effective for both futures and equities trading.

 

The workbook provided concrete real life examples and the DVD used the same teaching tools. In addition Mr. Morgan went through the most recent build up and sell off in the gold market and gave three weeks COT reports to illustrate the important factors required to use this important tool. How to pick juniors

The second session dealt with Mining Equity Analysis primarily of the junior sector. The large cap mining companies primarily trade with the changes in the metals prices themselves and thus by using the COT reports better entry and exit points can be established. The junior sector is a field unto itself and three examples were provided. All cases were actual companies featured in David's monthly report. Two were successful and one unsuccessful position were discussed. In the junior sector it is best when getting in and riding the stock up into the discovery phase and then moving on to another. However, this is easier said than done, because every company out there claims to be "on the verge" of a discovery.

Throughout the sessions many questions were answered. We devoted the final hour to questions and answers from the seminar attendees.
